Notice of Privacy Practices – HIPPA
South Suburban Family Medicine, PC (“South Suburban Family Medicine”) complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPPA”) . These privacy policies apply only to individuals who become patients at South Suburban Family Medicine and establish a doctor-patient relationship. Follow this link to read our HIPPA notice (.pdf).
Based on HIPPA privacy policies, patients are discouraged from communicating directly with our office staff and our healthcare professionals regarding personal health related issues using unsecured email, blogging and forums. Please call us @303-346-9490 or schedule an appointment to discuss personal health related issues.
At this time we do not have methods to communicate online securely. We will provide notification if and when a secure HIPPA compliant online communication portal becomes available.
We sometimes share protected health information on this Site, such as patient success stories, but only with written consent and release as mandated by our HIPPA policies.
